The amount of time required to properly photograph a home or commercial building can vary greatly. The biggest factor is usually the size of the property. As a general guideline plan on about 1 to 1.5 hours. Please note, many large homes and commercial or retail buildings can take longer for photography. The specific time required for your photo shoot can be discussed at the time you book it.

Ideally, for day time photo shoots  3 – 5 days notice should be provided in order to get your preferred date and time.  I can occasionally accommodate last minute requests, but it is best not to rely on that.  Twilight photo shoots are very popular and tend to fill up quicker.  The more notice you can provide the better.

The neater and cleaner your home or business is, the better it will photograph.  Always start with a good cleaning.  But to help homeowners and realtors prepare for the photography we have prepared a check list of things you can do to really make the home photo ready.  Read our home prep checklist here.

Images and virtual tours are guaranteed within 24 hours. Videos and feature sheets within 48 hours.

If the weather is bad on the day of your scheduled shoot (i.e. rain, heavy clouds and the like) you will be given the opportunity to reschedule for the next available open shoot date. If you chose to proceed with the shoot as scheduled, regardless of the weather, please understand that the listed pricing does not include fixing photos for cloudy skies and such. However, we usually do our best to replace at least one sky for the main front view of the property for free as time permits.

There are 2 ways to update or make changes to your virtual tour listing. If you have a quick change, simply contact us via email or phone, or login to your iProTours.com account, click on the link in the top bar called “My Virtual Tours” and choose your property’s tour in the list – make your changes, and hit save. Super easy!

High quality photos not only generate more interest in your listings, and help prospective buyers form an emotional attachment to house, but they also separate you from your competition. Let’s face it, all agents are slapping photos on the MLS and using their brokerage’s default marketing. What are you doing to truly make your listings and yourself stand out from the crowd?

We love when agents ask this question! Just like buying a Ferrari doesn’t make you Mario Andretti, simply having a dSLR doesn’t mean your photos will look as good as our professionals’ images. Now, we know you wouldn’t advise a friend to sell FSBO – It’s the same idea. Our iProTours photographers have years of dedicated real estate photography experience, and understand how to highlight the best features of a listing. A good camera is only one tool, equally important is lens choice, and post production editing. We also use techniques such as off-camera flash & combining multiple exposures – more sophisticated techniques than typical run-and-gun HDR photographers. This means that every detail will stand out in your images.

While the agent doesn’t necessarily have to be there, we prefer that someone is present at occupied homes, so they can answer questions, and do any adjustments we request. The photographer will not touch any personal property or make adjustments – like opening a patio umbrella or fluffing pillows, etc. We also really like to meet our clients face-to-face, so we suggest that you at least come the first time you hire us, and for future assignments we can meet the homeowners or your assistant. With that said, if you use a standard combination lock-box, we can let ourselves in and out if necessary. If the property has an iBox, we will need the agent there to help unlock the property.
